Youth Department Design

I built a design from scratch of a teen and children's area from scratch with the Sims Program.

Here is an aerial view of the children's area.  It includes comfortable chairs, bean bag chairs of smily faces and watermelons.  There are also four chairs again the right side wall that can be used as tables.

Here is the Teen area.  There are also comfortable chairs located here including bean bag chairs and four tables with four chairs each.  There are four laptops in the teen area because laptops are seen as "cooler" by teens.

Here is the teen desk.  It has three major portions.  This view also shows a picture of the projector.  There is a game console as well as a video player so that teens can watch videos in their area.

Here is the children's desk.  It has a funky design on it to make it a bit more fun.  There are also two fish tanks to the right of the desk.  One of them contains fish while the other contains an iguana.  TO the left of the screen you can see a large gaming console that multiple children can play.  There are also desks to the sides of it so that children can put their backpacks down and so parents can sit with them.

These are the amazing shelves for the children's area.  They are different colors and look like princess houses.  Each shelved container contains certain topics such as chapter books, biographies, etc.  There is also a better view of the desk, where there are two computer desktops as well as a view of the stairs to the adult area, as well as another view of the cute chairs.

This portion of the children's area shows the desk and it's layout in the room.  There is also a better view of seats for the parents and a door to the outside in case there is an extension.

This is the teen computer seating area.  Two desks have four computer and two desks have seats only so that teens can study.  There is also a view of the shelves, which are larger and a have a funky vibe for the teen department.

This is another view of the video area.  The red tables underneath are also seats.  There are three mats on the floor so teens can lay down while videos are playing and there are comfortable bean bag chairs that are like watermelons for them to sit on.

My total expenditures were around $11, 500.  The price could be changed by taking out certain gaming consoles.  However, I think the library needs all of the items it has for teens and children to enjoy being there.
